My Week #1

The other night I had an idea for a new little 'series' whilst I was trying to get to sleep. That's always when I get my best ideas.

So I've decided that every Sunday I'm going to post a little roundup of my week. I'll post my weekly spread in my bullet journal, because you know, an excuse for more bullet journal photos, my favourite outfit of the week, the book I'm currently reading, any little news updates, just a sort of catch up really!

So here's my first week:

My Bullet Journal

I'm running out of pages quickly in my bullet journal, so I'm trying not to take up loads of room with illustrations and fancy headers, hence the slightly squashed 1 page week. I don't tend to use my bullet journal during the weekend, only the week. Also I'm not sure how much this reflects what a stressful week I've had. I just feel like I've had so much to do, I've started blogging in the mornings before I leave for work and on the train to and from work, I work 9-6, then I get home and want to crash, but there's always something I need to do. I've recently took on another little writing job, so that's something else I need to add to my schedule as well.

I have another bullet journal post coming up tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled for that (follow me on Bloglovin if you don't already!)

Outfit of the week. My outfits have been super simple lately. Actually, no they're pretty much always simple. I love monochrome and rarely will you see me in colour or in patterns. So yeah, I guess that explains the white and grey look I've chose this week. But I love the combination, and it's perfect for the warm-not-quite-summer weather we've been having recently. I also bought this little khaki jacket the other week which goes perfectly and adds a little bit of colour, so I don't look like I'm trapped in an old black and white film.

Currently reading:

Despite being so busy, I've been flying through books on my Kindle. I've really got back into reading since being on my year abroad and having less reading to do for uni, and I forgot how much I enjoy it. I'm currently reading The Girl On A Train by Paula Hawkins, which had been on my reading list for far too long. I'm about 70% of the way through it, and I'm desperate to know the twist. I'm really, really enjoying it so far and I can see why it's been so popular for months now!

News with me:

I think the most exciting this week has been, for me anyway, how well my blog is doing stats wise. I never really paid much attention to it before and placed value on comments I received more than anything. Actually, I still do. I'd rather have a few lovely comments than millions of hits and 0 engagement. But my blog has started reaching 4 figure views daily, which is bloody insane. Thanks Pinterest!

In other news, I've placed a little medium sized order from Boots full of hair stuff. New hair colour coming soon. If you follow me on Twitter, you might have seen a tweet or two from me about the style I've chosen. Even though I've dyed my hair almost every colour under the rainbow, this is new territory for me so it could be interesting. I might have a box of dark brown hair dye on stand-by to cover it all up if it looks awful. Hopefully it won't though!

Favourite blog posts:

Ditch The Food Guilt on My General Life - This post opened my eyes a bit to our relationship with food. Well worth a read.
Life After The Contraceptive Pill on Hannah Gale - Sometimes this stuff just needs to be talked about, and Hannah, as always, discusses it in a brilliantly honest and informative way.
Bullet Journal: The Start on ItsSarahAnn - Sarah's bullet journal is super, super pretty and creative and I loved looking at all the photos of it!
