In 3 weeks tomorrow I will have flown back to England after 6 months of not being home and finished my year abroad. That's crazy.
The past 2 weeks (sorry I didn't write a post last week, to be honest I just didn't have all that much to say!) have flown by. Last week Tom's parents visited us, so I took a couple of days off work to spend some time with them and we packed up our flat for them to take a lot of it back to England in their car. We're living in a very empty flat right now *sad face*. It also sucks because I'm extremely lacking in blog photo props and am having to resist the strong urge to buy anything.
We visited Heidelberg (again - I love it there) and I finally went to Hans Im Glück after my friends claim it's the best burger they've ever eaten. It was definitely an amazing burger, though I think Five Guys still holds the top spot on my best-burger-ever list.
News with me
Honestly? I feel like I don't have too much to say. This week has been super quiet as Tom & I are saving as much money as possible for interrailing and I've just been exhausted after coming home from work. Like, so exhausted. On Friday night, I fell asleep without even getting changed and slept for over 11 hours straight. Then felt horrible for the whole of Saturday.
The weather here though has been awesome. Either really hot or storms, both of which I love. We've spent two evenings this week just sitting in the park with friends and a BBQ and I love that. So much better than cold, winter evenings where it's dark by 4:30pm. I'm definitely a summer girl.
It's also my birthday in 24 days #soexcited. I'm going to be 21 and my mum has a surprise planned for me which involves spending a night away, I love surprises but I'm so curious!! I think I'm more excited just to go home though, it will have been over 6 months since I last set foot in Norfolk by the time I get back and that's definitely the longest I've gone without not seeing my family. And the puppy we kept when my dog gave birth last year will have grown up so much! She was only this small the last time I saw her:
My bedroom at home is being decorated for when I get back so I'm having fun browsing Pinterest and H&M Home to pick out some bits. I may have to make a(nother) wishlist post!
I'm still yet to read a book after finishing Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. I just don't know what to read next. I'm considering the sequel but I already have books on my Kindle that I need to read first. I should probably make that an aim to start another book this week.
I'm currently watching Game of Thrones, Prison Break and re-watching Jessica Jones though! I'm looking for a new series to watch on Netflix as I watch Prison Break with Tom, I need something I can watch when he's busy. Any suggestions, let me know!
My bullet journal weekly spreadI posted this in yesterday's post if you want to go see.
Fave blog posts:
Engagers over Followers by Vix Meldrew - This post really stood out to me because Vix hits the nail right on the head! Worth a read if you're a blogger and you find your stats bothering you.
Bullet Journal: 1 Month On by Sarah Ann - I loved reading this post and seeing all of Sarah's bujo snaps. It's also lovely to see how some of my own spreads have been an inspiration, though major envy because her's looks much better!
Jessica Valenti: my life as a ‘sex object’ - The Guradian - I found this simultaneously very shocking and yet not shocking at all to read. Conclusion: Society still has a long way to come.
My Single Best Piece of Advice for Anyone with a Dream - Levo League - I tweeted about this article in the week because I loved it, I found it so inspiring to read and really motivating.
