Another university year, another room tour post. I think one of my favourite things about starting a new year is having a new room to decorate and make my own. I love trying to make it as cosy and homely as humanly possible. I'm so happy with my room this year, I think it's my favourite so far and I wanted to share some snapshots of how it's turned out. I hope you're prepared for a lot of pics!
The Elephant Tapestry instantly helped to make the room look less empty and I love the vibe it gives. I picked it up off Amazon a while ago but this is the first time I've had it up. I also love the little lightbulb fairy lights I got from Tiger recently that I've hung up in the corner.
The noticeboard was already in my room when I arrived and I've been pinning stuff that makes me happy to it like postcards, my dreamcatcher and little mementos. I've also got some pictures pictures pegged up on a piece of string, a couple of pieces of my artwork, a lot of train tickets and some cool paper from Paperchase pinned to the wall. I don't like bare walls!
I've really tried to keep my desk a place where I want to work. I actually find it really hard to study in my room and prefer to be around other people like in the library or a coffee shop as I tend to focus better. I have a couple of candles on my desk, a couple of cacti, a couple of pen pots (I have too many pens...), my desk lamp and my iPad.
I am really happy with how my room has turned out. I think the tapestry, fairy lights, plants and rug all help to pull it together.
