5 Things I'm Loving Right Now

5 Things I'm Loving Right Now |
Happy Thursday! Hope everyone is having a good week so far!

I'm heading back to Norfolk today to see my friends and family for my birthday and I'm really looking forward to catching up with people for the short time I'm there. I also had a day trip to Oxford yesterday which was so nice, you may see a little photo diary on here sooner or later (probably later, let's be honest, my turnaround time seems to be terrible lately, why am I always busy?!) (I do like being busy though...)

It's been what feels like foreverrr since I last wrote one of these posts, so I was excited to write this one. I didn't actually know where to start as there's so much going on right now that I could have included more than 5 things easily! But here are the 5 I chose to share.

5 Things I'm Loving Right Now |

There has been some awesome new music releases recently. Paramore's and All Time Low's albums being right up there. These are bands I've loved for YEARS and though their sound has definitely changed, I feel like I'm growing with them, and I love the feeling in their music. Also new music from Lorde, Alt J and Manchester Orchestra has made me happy!

But it wasn't just new songs that has put music on my favourites list. I wanted to mention the Ariana Grande One Love concert in Manchester. Ok, so it's not my normal choice of music, but it was one of the most heartwarming things I've ever watched. Ariana was so brave and strong for putting on a show like that so soon after the Manchester attack, it was everything Britain needed and the love and hope in that crowd was beautiful. Music is amazing for bringing people together, especially at a time like that.

And also Glasto. I'm ridiculously jealous of Sarah who was there. Despite being able to watch it all from the comfort of your home with a warm, clean shower, bed and a fridge is appealing, the atmosphere looks unbeatable. Watching music live is one of my favourite things ever, and I really hope I can go in 2019.

These beautiful new shoes

I had to include these beautiful shoes - Dr Martens Belladonna creepers. They are absolutely my new favourite pair of shoes I own. Huge thank you to Luke for treating me to them as a present for finishing exams :'). I'm going to have to try really hard to not wear these every single day.

Wine from Le Petit Ballon

[Collab - But all opinions are my own]

Back in May, Le Petit Ballon kindly sent me a box of wine. What more could a girl about to finish her exams want to receive through the post? Obviously I was pretty excited to try them. Caitlin and I ended up sharing the wine while getting ready for Grad Ball, and damn, it was pretty good. That day was hottttt, like no-makeup-staying-on-your-face-today kind of hot, so a chilled glass of white wine was perfect.

The box contained a bottle of white and a bottle of red, and a little booklet with tips on how best to enjoy the wine and what food to pair it with. If you like wine, this is an awesome subscription box to treat yourself each month, or it would make a really great gift.

Orphan Black

This series has to be one of my all time faves, it's bloody brilliant. I'm patiently waiting for my work mates to catch up so I can gossip with them about it! It's on Netflix, and there's a new episode weekly at the minute, and although there's 4 complete seasons already, it's totally easy to binge while you wait for the next season of Game of Thrones.

If you watch this series, you should definitely message me on Twitter so we can chat about it!!

Superdrug's Vitamin E Range

After going vegetarian and slowly (too slowly) transitioning to vegan, I'm also turning my attention to my makeup and skincare products and making sure I'm using vegan and cruelty free stuff. I buy a lot of my products from Lush but I've been trying out Superdrug's own brand stuff too, as it's all cruelty free. I picked up the Micellar water and moisturiser a couple of months ago and I'm so impressed! They're only a £2-3 each and had a buy one get one half price deal on them, so pretty cheap, and they're so nice on my skin! Would definitely recommend checking these products out.

What have you been loving recently?
