5 Things I'm Loving Right Now

5 Things I'm Loving Right Now |
So for the last few weeks I've been pretty organised with my blog, writing my posts in advance and actually scheduling them. Not this one, I'm sitting in bed on a chilly Saturday morning writing this up with some Youtube videos on and a coffee on my bedside table. Let's do this.

I've got the whole weekend to myself, so I plan on nursing my cold, look into switching my blogging platform (Blogger I don't like u anymore), and prepping some of my #Blogmas posts. That's right, I'm keen. I will be posting every single day in December up until Christmas, lots of festive content (even some BuJo festive content) and I'm really excited. Now I've said it on here as well, I have to stick to it!

Anyway, here are 5 things I've been loving recently:

5 Things I'm Loving Right Now |

1. Doctor Foster

The first season of this show was some of the best TV I've ever watched. But I was a bit sceptical when they announced a second season because I didn't think it would ever live up to the first season. However it's been just as gripping as the first season so far, I'm completely hooked. The first season is on Netflix and the second on iPlayer, so if you haven't seen it before you should totally catch up on it!

2. A pen

Okay so I wasn't going to include this because I figured me writing about a pen I bought recently is really unexciting, even though I bloody love it. But then I asked the utter blogging babes on their opinion and showed them the pen and they confirmed it was brilliant and I should definitely include it. My old pen (which sadly got lost) was one my Dad picked up in Japan, it had a super fine nib and was erasable so it was perfect for my bujo. Not being able to pop back to Japan to get another one I hoped Muji would be able to solve my problems. Muji is one of my favourite places to shop for stationery, you absolutely cannot beat Japanese pens especially if you like a fine line. I found the perfect pen there. This 0.4 Erasable Black Pen. They have a few different colours, a 0.5 nib if you prefer that, and refills for when it runs out. Plus it's not super expensive at £2.50.

3. Black hair

I always said I would never dye my hair black but after dying it black and blue for Reading Festival on a whim, I really bloody liked it. The blue faded far too quick though so I ended up dying over it all with black. Since my eyebrows and eyelashes are naturally black it actually really works, and I'm loving having a new colour to experiment different makeup looks with and outfits.

4. Weekends away

Sometimes I hate living so far from friends and family, I have a great group of friends where I live now and I love this town and part of the country, but my family are back in Suffolk and I can't just pop round and my friends are scattered around the country. But it does mean you have to make more of an effort to spend time with them, and you appreciate that time together more than ever. The weekend away with the blogging girls was so great, we had such a good time together and we're already planning our next weekend away which I'm already so looking forward to. Last weekend I also spent a weekend in Birmingham with my fave uni girls. We used to see each other every day at uni and I miss them so much, not being able to message them like, 'coffee before today's lecture?' is pretty tough now we don't live right near each other, but absolutely nothing has changed. And family wise, I am so excited to be getting to spend a week on holiday with them very soon! Spending time with those you love most, away from the daily grind, is so special and weekends away are great for refreshing.

5. This stripey tshirt

Please don't shoot me when I say this, but I'm actually not a fan of a stripey top. I mean, I absolutely love them on others, I've just never been able to make them work for me. However I saw this simple top in H&M in Birmingham the other day and I instantly knew it would fit my style, and for £7 you definitely can't complain. I've worn it so much since, it looks great with some blacked jeans, under a checked shirt, with my new teddy coat (you will definitely see more of this soon) or tucked into a maroon skirt. Love it.
