My Absolute Fave Cruelty-Free Beauty Products

My Absolute Fave Cruelty-Free Beauty Products |
‘What is this?’ I hear you ask. A beauty post. On my blog. I know, what’s going on?

But here’s a beauty post, from someone who is very much not a beauty blogger.

But I know there must be girls out there like me, who have an interest in beauty and who want to look nice, but can’t be dealing with the faff or expense, or actually bothering to learn how to apply eyeshadow correctly. Spoiler: I still haven't learned.

So this is a list of my favourite beauty products, some of which I use daily, some I can’t live without, some slightly more luxurious. They won’t break the bank though, they’re all cruelty-free, they suit my sensitive skin and I can honestly recommend all of them.

Superdrug Vitamin E Micellar Water - Fave Cruelty-Free Beauty Products |

Superdrug Vitamin E Micellar Water

I’ve been gradually using up products and switching over to cruelty free stuff for a while now, but this is one of the first things I changed in my (pretty basic) skin care routine. I’d been using Garnier’s micellar water for years so I was pretty hesitant to switch, especially as my skin is particularly sensitive on my face. But I really, really love this. It’s so cheap, cleanses my skin just as well as Garnier’s and combined with the Vitamin E moisturisers, my skin is great! This range is so good, kudos Superdrug.

Nyx Tame and Frame Tinted Brow Pomade - Fave Cruelty-Free Beauty Products |

NYX Tame & Frame Tinted Brow Pomade

I’m not one for expensive makeup. I’ve never bought any makeup for myself over the value of about £15, and if I own anything worth more than that it was a gift. So as much as I wanted the ABH Dip Brow Pomade, I wanted a dupe more. And this product is pretty damn good. I use mine everyday and I’ve had it since the start of summer - it’s only just drying out but I’ve nearly finished the pot anyway. I’ll definitely be repurchasing.

Lush Elbow Grease - Fave Cruelty-Free Beauty Products |

Lush Elbow Grease

This stuff was actually recommended to me after I got my tattoo. I didn’t use it through the healing process, I used Palmer's Cocoa Butter Lotion. But I use it on my tattoo almost daily now and it makes a noticeable difference to how bright it looks. Plus this little bar lasts ages. If you had more tattoos than I do though it probably would get used up a lot quicker I imagine. It’s also really good on dry patches of skin, which is something I suffer with particularly in winter. It comes solid but as you warm it up with your skin or your hands it softens - similar to coconut oil. My only moan about it is the packaging, it would be so much better in a little tub, and it nearly melted away in summer!

Lush Sleepy Body Lotion - Fave Cruelty-Free Beauty Products |

I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned this somewhere on my blog before but I L O V E this product. It smells absolutely divine, and I love popping some on after a warm shower before hopping into bed.

Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Palette - Fave Cruelty-Free Beauty Products |

Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Palette

Ok this one isn’t cheap. Definitely more the luxury end of my list. I got this as a Christmas present last year and I love it. The only other eyeshadow I had before that was the Naked 2 palette, handed down from my sister, which I love as well. However I wanted matte colours instead of glittery (shimmery? can you tell this is not a topic I'm used to writing about). So as someone who doesn’t own loads and loads of eyeshadow (these are still the only 2 palettes I have) the shade range in this is brilliant. I can do everyday or a night out eyeshadow which is all I really need. I much prefer the minimal makeup look so these basic neutral colours are perfect! Plus they’re great quality. But yeah, only downside is they're not that cheap.

Nyx Liquid Suede Lipsticks - Fave Cruelty-Free Beauty Products |

Nyx Liquid Suede Lipstick

Continuing on from my minimal makeup look, I love the natural colours in this range, though I also have the black one which you can bet I'll be wearing on Halloween. I own a few of these and they last reeeeally well and don’t dry my lips out, plus the colours are really pretty. My favourite is Soft Spoken. I’m not a massive fan of lipstick as I don't often think it suits me, especially bright reds and pinks, but the darker and natural colours are so pretty.

Bleach Reincarnation Mask - Fave Cruelty-Free Beauty Products |

Bleach Reincarnation mask

Last summer when I had blonde hair, this reincarnation mask worked wonders. I bleached my hair far too much to get to that point and my hair was so damaged, but this always left it feeling soft. This product is better than more expensive ones I've tried, so if you use a lot of heat on your hair or colour it a lot, I would highly recommend this.

Have you tried any of these products? What are your fave CF beauty products?
