Hi, it's been a while...
I'm sitting in Costa with an iced coconut latte (as opposed to my usual coconut flat white - it's warm in England) and I thought I'd type out a blog post. I actually intended to do my third assignment for my TEFL qualification, but I haven't got the marks back for my second one so I can't actually do that...
So instead I thought I'd write a blog post. It's been a while, hasn't it? My last post was about a month and a half ago, which seems like eons ago. I've actually got a few in my drafts but it seemed weird to post them after not posting for a while without any explanation - I'm sure it's not actually weird but here we are.
Hannah, what's been going on?
Started a new job, didn't I? And I'm attributing that fact to the reason I haven't posted that much. #excuses
I'm now working in marketing for a healthcare technology company, which I can assure you is much more interesting than it might sound. We make software for predominantly the NHS to transform the health and social care sector. Yup.
And I'm enjoying it so much so far. It's a very different company to my last one, not just in sector but also in company culture and I feel like it's much more my vibe. And I'm excited about that. I've learned an insane amount in the last three weeks, including how the NHS works and let me tell you now, it's not simple. My team are great, the office is lovely, they've been nothing but supportive so far - I'm super happy.
But with all the learning and meeting people and a longer commute to deal with, I've been pretty exhausted in the evenings and haven't really wanted to sit in front of my laptop and write, but once I'm more settled I'm sure that will change. Because I really do adore blogging, even with all the change in the blogging industry. I'm still brimming with ideas I want to implement on this little website!
Other than work though, I've also been up to a few other things:
- Luke and I finally went to Germany together (blog post coming soon I promise)
- Celebrated my mum and bro's birthday back in Suffolk
- Packed up my stuff at my mum's as she's moving house
- Dyed my hair ginger! No more black hair...
- Went to London for lunch with my mum and sister
- Saw one of my fave blogger pals, Mel, in London
- Meals and drinks with friends
- Booked tickets to Olympia Horse Show
- Listened to Panic! At The Disco's new album about 379023023 times.
- Enjoying the nice weather in England
So I've been quite busy!
But I definitely hope to be around here a little bit more (I know I've said that before...). Upcoming post ideas include travel posts, a BuJo update, current favourite things and blogging tips. If there's anything you'd love to see, or topics you want more of (or less of!) please do drop me a message as it's always difficult to predict what readers might enjoy, especially as blog content seems to be changing a lot!
And I apologise this post has just been a lot of me talking at you and nothing substantial... normal content will resume shortly :)
What have you all been up to recently? Let me know in the comments!
