Bullet Journal: Feb Walkthrough and March Setup

Bullet Journal: Feb Walkthrough and March Setup

Bullet Journal Month Setup | www.hannahemilylane.com

So this post is going up a little later than I would have liked - I’ve had a pretty busy start to March and coupled with the bad weather - it’s made it extremely difficult to get photos! I’m counting down until the clocks go forward and I can start taking blog photos in the evenings after work again!!

March usually signifies the start of spring to me, and more importantly, the end of the long, cold, dark winter. But with March kicking off with wonderful snow storms and antarctic-esque weather - it didn’t really feel very bright-colourful-fresh blooms-sunshine-like that I usually associate with March. So I changed my monthly theme plans up. Rather than the florals I had intended, I decided to do a mandala theme. Mandalas for March sounded suitable too - my high school English teacher would appreciate the alliteration.

But before I share my March setup, let’s run through how February panned out in my bullet journal….

Bullet Journal Setup - February

February for me was inspired by my trip to Norway: the snowy landscape muting all colours, ergo: grey and nature.

The first spread, as always, a cover page painted on watercolour paper and stuck in introducing the theme, and a monthly log on the opposite page.

The next spread: my habit tracker and then a monthly planning page with to do’s, future log, goals and new to this month, a stats tracker. Mixed feelings on this, it has highlighted my slow growth but also motivated me to try harder.

Instagram growth is my main focus right now, so I’m really putting an effort into my feed and engaging with other users. Come be my friend on insta and help me reach my goals?

The first two weeks of feb were fairly quiet so I opted for one page weekly logs. Fairly simple, does the job, looks minimalist and pretty.

The next week’s layout is also rather minimalist. I actually screwed up the first page/half of the week - pencil first, when will I learn - so there’s some random mountains in the middle of the week, but it helps to tie in the theme. I also finished the week with a quote I saw on Pinterest which I thought was quite fitting for this theme - I feel most alive exploring outside.

Another weekly spread… less structured but apparently I was definitely digging the minimalist style this month.

And my final half week (I can’t quite remember why I never planned the rest of the week) is just one page again. On the adjacent page is a memories page, as I liked having this page from my January setup. I intend on writing about each month because I think it’ll be really nice to look back on at the end of the year.

And that concludes Feb in my bullet journal.

March. Mandalas for March.

The month kicks off with a purple watercoloured page with a mandala and a peony - finally a cover page I’m actually pretty happy with. And then my usual monthly log in my usual format on the opposing spread.

Next up is my habit tracker, in the same format as last months. Though I have slightly changed what I’m tracking. Then, new for March, a blog post calendar. I was planning on using this to plan out my blog schedule but that hasn’t… happened. As much as I’d love to have a regular schedule again, it’s so bloody difficult when working full time. I’ll try my best though.

The next spread includes my usual monthly plan with a to do list, future log and goals. I’ve also carried through my social stats, hopefully I can report bigger growth this month than last month. My end of year goal is 1000 IG followers and with my current rate of growth I won’t hit that, so I’m trying harder.

Then I have a really wonderful, blank page. I had a really great idea for this page in mind, but that vanished when I got out of the shower.

And finally, my first weekly log of March. I quite like this page, it was fun to add little doodles and notes, and have a less structured layout so I could plan as the week went along.

I'll share the rest of my March setup in my next post, which hopefully will be at the start of April this time rather than halfway through the month like this one *face palm*

I hope you all have a lovely March!
