Happy Valentines Day!
I wanted to do a bit of a chatty post today on something I’ve been wanting to post about for a while - style. When I started this blog way back when, I wanted a place to post about fashion and lifestyle mainly. I dabbled in beauty blogging but that just never worked out well, so I’m not surprised I mostly dropped that topic. But somewhere along the line I also stopped talking about fashion on here. And I miss that.
Doesn’t January just feel like the longest month ever? It’s my least favourite time of the year, but actually I’ve really tried to make this month more enjoyable and I have succeeded! I had an amazing trip to Oslo, got to see my uni friends, my mum, and spend more time with Luke. All in all, it’s been an above average month :)Read More
Last week, Luke and I set off at a ridiculous time in the morning (1:30am) to head to the airport and fly to Norway! I booked the flights for Luke’s birthday back in September so it’s been a long time getting excited for this winter getaway.
I know a week away in January is perhaps not the normRead More
Over 4 years ago, I sat down on my bed in my first year uni accommodation with a notebook and pen and scribbled down some ideas. I'd been reading blogs for a while and decided I wanted to write my own one.Read More
New year calls for a new journal, right?
There's something about the change of calendar that feels like starting afresh, and though I still had a few pages left in my old journal, I wanted to start a new one anyway.Read More

I’ve been wanting to write a post like this ever since I left Germany, and now even more so because I really miss the German festivities. Germany does Christmas SO well.Read More
While this time of year can be filled with joy for so many, it also can be incredibly tough for many others. It can be isolating when you’re not quite feeling it, and everyone around you is super happy.Read More
Last year, Luke and I spent a day in Birmingham before Christmas visiting the markets, ice skating and doing some Christmas shopping. It was still very early in our relationship, and I loved that date so much. This year we decided to go back and visit the markets again, and it was just as much fun.Read More
Can you believe it's only two weeks until Christmas day? It's definitely come round quick. And as much as I am feeling festive, I'm definitely not prepared. I still have presents to buy and wrap, cards to write and an outfit to buy for Christmas parties. It's going to be a busy couple of weeks!
Of course I'm using my bullet journal to keep me a little bit organised.Read More
2 years ago when I was living in Germany, my friends and I booked an AirBnB in the heart of the Schwarzwald (Black Forest) for a weekend away. We rented a car and drove down the Autobahn right into the hills late November.Read More
